Mrs. Jeter's Class

 

I am so happy to be your teacher this year!  I am planning on having a fun and exciting year, so I hope you are too! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I am originally from Virginia, where I went to college at the University of Richmond, then I moved to Pennsylvania where I got my Master's in Education and K-12 Counseling license from Penn State University, and THEN I moved to North Carolina where I started teaching and completing my license to teach Elementary Education at East Carolina University. Mascots from all of these schools are on this page, and down at the bottom you can submit your idea for our class mascot! 

 

Other than spending a lot of time in school, I try to keep up with 5 amazing children who live in 3 different time zones!  I LOVE to travel, read, and be outside.  I cannot wait to learn about each of you!

 

I am a firm believer that school should be fun!  To me that means that everyone should feel safe and important.  In addition to that, it means that everyone should get to display their learning in lots of different ways.  In this class we will also do a lot of work together, because it is important to know how to collaborate with others.  Everyone will have the opportunity to be creative and use art, music, and technology in their learning.  I hope that if we all work together we will get to explore many new and exciting things!
